They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so...
edit: by popular demand I've tagged the photos with photgrapher name, as best I can remember. If I didn't tag it then it's by Dan, as he took the most.
KOM forgot his sunglasses so went for a Hepburn look courtesy of Tsondagirl (Loon)
Dan showed his hiking pedigree, leading the pack throughout (Me)
Charlie hardly broke a sweat
It was a great day for a hike (Tson)
Yamashiro san crests a roll
OkemoLoon summits
The altitude appeared to be having an effect
On the way up we saw people had been enjoying this meadow. Check out the three spires of Kaerazu-no-ken in the background. (Me)
Let's see that a little closer. Any takers? (Me)
We continued over the next ridge. I hadn't been that far back before, and as we continued it became clear that there is lots (Me)
of (Me)
awesome (Me)
terrain. (Me)
This cliff (foreground) is waiting around for me to get some skills and courage... in my dreams (Me)

Getting down however we can:
Sharing the load
Not designed for skiing
Crossing the river... (Tson)
...brought its own difficulties
The way out was not always smooth
But Gandalf was well prepared
No line would be complete without a dam for Dan (Me)
It was thirsty work so KOM hit the river for a refresh
Thanks guys, thanks mountains! And thanks to all photographers, especially the ever-ready Dan. We'll be back soon.
