Yes some of the scenery definitely reminded me of Hakuba.
Though I liked this more.

You seem to have such a fantastic natural (I presume) ability for composition of photos I'd say muikabochi. Must be great that, I am the opposite - hopeless at taking photos which isn't the biggest motivation to get a camera and try many times!

Very beautiful.
All year round too but the sharpness and contrasts of winter on a day like yesterday are unbeatable.
Please call me Matsu

Incredible shots. Never thought Gunma could provide that.
Definitely interested in checking that place out.

That is some impressive scenery. I see from the map that Tenjindaira is almost in Yuzawa, right close to the Gunma/Niigata border.

Yes it sure is. Pity we can't get there from our side. Having said that, it's not far anyway.

If you take the train (Joetsu line) you can get off at Doai and quickly be up there right?

Interesting station that with the underground tunnel for going north and hundreds of steps.

Didn't get the views quite as you did but it's an impressive location.
will go back next year for a more full on experience.

Thanks for telling me about it!

Cool. Loved it there, small as the 'resort' is.
I'll be back next year to check out more for sure.

Went to Minakami today, had a look at Ichinokura which was looking as impressive as always.

A bit hazy and the afternoon so looking into the sun so not great photos maybe but I'll post a few if they turn out ok.
