As you've probably noticed, we've given the forums a bit of another overhaul.

We've also got round to making some proper unique Snow Japan smiley icon dudes - specially for our forums.

We were originally thinking about keeping them until the run up to next season, but just couldn't wait until then! So think of it as one of the new things on the site in the run up to next season.

The little fellas might look a little hot in summer, but hopefully they'll remind us all of winter through the summer months.

Clapping matey reminds me of those Shiites who beat their heads in sorrow over the death of their favourite prophets and ayatollahs.

Instead of going for a more discreet, less graphically intrusive look, it's gone the opposite direction.

I'd welcome banning all moving images altogether. Let folks try and write sentences that jump off the page instead...

I like the new top graphics better than before.

The top graphics are indeed better, although they don't match the new smileys at all. The new smileys are very rounded, whereas the new top graphics are squared off, so the previous graphics would have gone better with them, unnecessary though they are.

Also, I find the top left button counterintuitive. Although it says "snow talk", clicking it doesn't take you to snow talk - it takes you to forums central. It's the same in the other forums too. It's not ideal from a navigational PoV.

Well, just to put my opinion down, I like them good idea. Brightens the place up a bit and looks a bit. I don't generally like too much moving, but some is ok. If we don't like a moving smiley dude, we just don't use him.

I think they're fun, but yes, the poor things are definitely bound to feel hot in summer and I'll probably to feel like I need some ice looking at them.

Seriously, the idea was for them all to go up at once so that it's fair for everyone - no copying of ideas.
