Hi folks on this wonderful forum, I was hoping to get some ideas of places to stay in or around Naeba. We are traveling around a number of resorts in Nagano and Niigata and will be in the Gala area from the 8th Feb.

I was hoping to get a recommendation of a well placed room that is close to the best skiing.

Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Hello

Naeba is a ski resort
Gala Yuzawa is a ski resort.
They are both in Yuzawa town, but a 30+ minute drive apart.
Gala Yuzawa is right near the centre of Yuzawa town. Naeba is a 30+ minute drive from the centre of Yuzawa town.

Best to stay in Yuzawa town area:

+1 for Muikabouchi. Unless you are going to Naeba or Kagura ski areas you should stay in Yuzawa town. If you are going to Naeba or Kagura staying in Naeba town would be a good option.
