Awesome...stuff!!

ManfredK....believe me, Lyme Disease was the first thing I thought of but the vet just kinda blew me off about that... slightly different symptoms I guess. Also, previously he was checked for heartworms which tests for Lyme as well. :wakaranai:

An eccentric man hired another to build him a house, with two conditions: He had to build it in one week, and using exactly 1,000 bricks, no more, no less.
He would pay 1 million dollars if the pile of 1,000 bricks that he would supply was completely used up, with no other bricks added. Otherwise, he would pay nothing.

The house builder figured, hey, easy money, this guy is even supplying the building materials. Deal!

And so he labored day after day, painstakingly putting the house together. At the end of the week, with 5 minutes to go before the deadline, he finished up, and while wiping his brow saw the eccentric man coming down the street. Jus then, he noticed that one of the bricks from the pile was still unused.

Panicking, he scrambled to find somewhere to put the brick.
Just as the owner arrived, he hit upon a brilliant idea:

Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week.

Ok, how about a dog-related one:

A woman was riding on a bus, with her toy poodle in her lap.
A man was sitting across the aisle from her, smoking a cigar.
The woman glowered at him, and asked him to put out his cigar.
He refused.
She asked the bus driver to do something about it, but he refused to get involved.
Getting furious, she grabbed the cigar out of the man's mouth, and threw it out the window of the bus.

The man, in return, grabbed her poodle, and threw IT out the window of the bus!

Pulling the emergency stop, she screamed and ran to the door.
As soon as the bus stopped, she jumped out, and started running back down the road, calling out for her dog.

Finally, around the bend, appeared her dog, running towards her and wagging its tail.
...but... what on earth was that it was holding in its mouth...??

You could even Book Now for the season after too, while there might still be a bit of availability. But quick, it won't last forever! While Stocks Last!

If you do venture into Hakuba Valley (remember folks, capitals now important!), I jolly well hope you don't grab that 1900 fireman helmet or indeed the taxidermy of local wild life before I go.
I would be distraught if someone nabbed it.
Pies.

Thanks Charlotte. He's in pain although they hide it so well,,,,but in very good spirits with a voracious appetite. From the mid back up he's perfectly normal. This morning while I had him out of his cage for a sponge bath he scooted across the floor using one of his back legs....a VERY good sign!! Still dragging the other leg of course and still urinary incontinent (no control) but a good sign nonetheless. Also, my wife just called to say he was sleeping on his back which is another great sign.

Chriselle I am so sorry to hear about your dog. He may have ruptured a disc in his back which could ,be putting pressure on his spinal cord. This can occur from a dog sharp turning jolting stop or leaping up for a ball. It is very common in smaller dogs like pugs & french bulldogs. It can be fixed and after long post operative care they can make a full recovery. WELL WORTH the operation. Tick symptoms similar but very different (if that makes sense). Yes paralysis does present but also quite often there is coughing as if the dog has something stuck in the throat as the throat also paralysis.

Stay positive and please keep us posted :-)

Thanks Snowhuntress. Yes, it really looks to me like a ruptured, slipped or herniated disc. Saturday will be the day we finally find out. Training him I tried to keep him on the ground and was always aware of delicate growing bones and joints. But...his prey drive is EXTREMELY active and sometimes he'd just over do it.
