It's kind of hard to accept that we're already in the second part of March - especially as some regions hardly seemed to have had a 'mid-winter' this year - but here we are and time marches on.

It certainly has been a strange season for many regions of Japan this time round with very uncharacteristically low amounts of snow.
Hokkaido generally has done pretty well, but most resort areas in Honshu less so.

No doubt this the lack of the usual consistent heavy snowfall is going to be giving certain marketing types something of a headache!
But seriously, as 2015/2016 has been 'abnormal' we do recommend that you take a look through the archive reports to get a more realistic idea of what 'normal' is.

Anyway you can check our Now reports - and their archives - here:

We will be continuing to update our Now daily reports right through until the end of the season in every region covered.
Some (like Niseko Now and Hakuba Now) will be updated every day until the last lift stops in early May.
Others may not be updated every day but rather a number of times a week until the season ends.

In January we started working on developing new stuff for SnowJapan.
It's always exciting to think about how we are going to improve the site and then get to work on new content.
There's going to be some major updates again this year, but there's a lot of work involved so it'll probably be October before you all get to see it!

Gambarimasu!
