Good places to stay at Niseko

Out of all of the backpackers and cheap hostels up at Niseko http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/index.html#hokkaido , anyone have any recommendations? I'm heading up to Hokkaido for 6 weeks of boarding and touring starting next month. Figured I'd start the tour at Niseko and want to find a good place to stay.

Id stay at the Hirafu Chalet - Ive known the guys up there for a long time, and the director is one of my best mates from Hiroshima. Cant go wrong staying there.

I second that reccomendation.
What I did last Winter was not much so I am negotiating with family members to be able to do a little more.

i stayed at shinzenkan backpackers at christmas and would highly recommend it!

its clean, the rooms and facilities are good and the owners/staff are ultra friendly!
