But it was amazing how quickly you could get turned around just going that 500 metres. It's pretty flat there and there isn't anything for reference
I'm so glad we didn't have to camp down low in the tent area. That walk would have been horrible in the morning along the narrow ridges with the wind and blowing snow

Well I just bought the balaclava so I was getting full use of it. Very warm. Surprised I went so long without one.

I think balaclavas are better than Toques. Really good protection when you're getting face-shot after face-shot. The flaps of the Toques near the cheeks tend to get covered in ice/snow from what I saw.
