My line was fun but for sure is the easiest one up there. Looks like I was moving fast
in the first picture and then really slow in the second
I would have for sure stepped up the second line but if I had gone for a second run then everybody else would have wanted a second one and I was really close on time as it took us all a lot longer to get to the summit than we originally thought due to deep snow and Jer getting lost in his own backyard

You have that pic of testing the stability up the top, but what do you do if it's not stable?

Nice pics. I've never been Yakedake I wanna go. One problem is where we shall park the car, which would hesitate our party (laugh).

On spring snow which we didn't have you can be on the summit in 3-4 hours.
Park the car at the onsen SnowConnection
They don't mind so much as long as you have an onsen after.
I'm not sure of the onsen's name. It's on the Nagano side of the Abo Pass.
We could have driven our cars to the actual trail head as well which is just a couple minutes further up the road

Thanks Toque, I read another reports. You must park at Nakanoyu Onsen. Some park at small space (usually full) near to Kama tunnel. Some park at Sakamaki Onsen. I suppose Nakanoyu is the best.
This TR tells how to save 20 min walk in Kama tunnel.
http://www.h6.dion.ne.jp/~tatsuno/sub2-2005-yakedake.html
1. Make three their own cars park at Nakanoyu onsen.
2. Call a taxi from Sawando.
3. Ride on the taxi at Nakanoyu.
4. Get off from the taxi at Kamikochi side of Kama tunnel.
Oh, tough works ! (laugh again)

I've never done Yakedake from the Kamikochi side
I don't think it would be as beautiful as the trees look very tight because they are all second growth from after the erruption a few decades back
I've always gone from the summer road (Route 158) going over Abo pass. That's the old highway before they put in the Abo tunnel going through Yakedake.
There is a large parking area at the Trail Head. Probably for 10 cars. It's just a few minutes past the onsen

Haha (I'm really crying :p )
We've got some snow on the ground here pretty early, might be a good start to the season.
