A new interview, with Jimmy Petterson author of "Skiing Around The World", has been put online.

http://www.snowjapan.com/e/features/interviews-jimmy-petterson.html

"Not many people can say they have skied in 48 different countries around the globe. We recently spoke with someone who can, Jimmy Petterson, discussing his ski experiences around the world, the time he came to Japan and also his impressive "Skiing Around The World" book."

Please note that the views expressed in any Features on Snow Japan are not necessarily those of Snow Japan.

PRIZE DRAW
We also have a copy of his book to give away to one Snow Japan reader. Details on how to enter can be found on the above page. Good luck!

Very interesting read. Some people get all the good 'work' to do.

I wonder how much Niseko has changed since 2001?

Good stuff. I've seen the book, a friend has it. It is excellent, definitely want to win this one. I'm totally jealous, some of those experiences must have been incredible.

Looks like a great book that. 48 countries. Rather more impressive than my count-on-one-hand efforts.

Interesting to see his comments about people getting out of booming ski towns.

Is that flying above the village photo from Nozawa? looks like it to me.
Time matters.

Excellent book and the author is a great guy. It was a pleasure to guide Jimmy around Nagano. We had a lot of fun \:D

Nice one schinken. I hope you landed on snow. We'll be in Nozawa early February. I hope it has snowed by then ;\)

I'd like to see that book looks omoshiroi.
I make up for it with cunning and guile.

Any time the powder is deep and I am with one or more good friends who love skiing as much as I do. Those are the greatest moments - the combination of the exhilarating feeling of skiing deep powder and sharing it with a kindred spirit.
I don't think I have as much deep powder experience as Jimmy, but totally understand and agree with the sentiment.

Now. Where's the snow?

Thanks for that, very interesting to read about people like Jimmy as much as I am rather envious of them. \:\) Would love to see the book.
