Can you tell much difference between an 8mb connection and a 40mb? I'm sure you can when downloading big files etc, but for normal browsing does it make much of a difference?

Not as much as from a moden to ADSL of course but when you download a lot you can notice it \:\) And the difference in cost is almost nothing as well

I noticed quite a difference in just normal usage as well, I think my slower connection was crap there was something wrong with it. It improved noticeably when I got faster.

I'm always surprised at how very little difference there is in cost between really slow connections and really fast ones here.

I noticed a big difference. I think I had a particularly crappy first ADSL connection, it seemed to improve many times over with the upgrade.
