This is a truly aweful hotel. It is 23 years old, and it shows. The prices are ridiculous given the quality (or lack thereof). The 'milk soup' and breakfast Tang are shockers. It truly enrages me how easily some Japanese screw and rip off foreigners by simply having some information in English. This website, though generally excellent, should NOT allow the White Horse Inn to advertise on its site and further perpetuate the screwing of foreigners.

"Dick Shagwell" - if you are the person who has sent in about 10 reader reviews containing expletives and rantings (without reason) about this establishment - then why don't you contact us directly to bring this subject up?

And why don't you give us more reasons telling us why you are so unhappy with the White Horse.

For your information a number of people have written in to SJG telling us of the good time they had at the White Horse, so your views are not universal.

I have personally been to the place and spoken at length with the owner, and they seemed friendly and willing to please.

Please do send on a mail to us at editor@skijapanguide.com and tell us what the big problem is.

And please refrain from sending in all those reviews blasting the place, without giving reasons.

Hey, I have stayed there and it wasn't bad at all.

They were friendly enough when we went, our room was ok, and even though it's not a deluxe hotel, we knew that when we booked.

It was great that it's right near the gondola too. Anyway, we had a good time there.

What's the problem??

Dick Shagwell, though I am shocked and offended by his choice of codename, is 100% correct. The White Horse Inn is aweful.
