I'm planning to do the Everygreen Basic Avalanche course March 1-2.

I'm driving from Tokyo (Setagaya-ku) probably that Friday night. If any one is interested to join me, I have spare seats in the car.
Let me know if you'd be keen to come along

I am planning to go along to that as well. I will be staying at FT's place. Let me just confirm my booking before we get super-definite about anything but if you can put up with me then would love to go down together.

you can rent the beacon/shovel/probe from evergreen. you can also buy it from them (i think at a discount). I think they had SOS gear when i did it 2 years ago.

I too will be attending the course March 1 & 2. I'm turning this into a 4 day weekend skiing on Friday and Monday if anyone else is down to rip.

my place is confirmed. Ewok, why don't you come on the 1st and 2nd as well? I'm considering tacking on the Monday but I don't think I could pull the Friday sadly.

It will be nice, hopefully weather will cooperate. I only wish I was able to go up this weekend as well. The rents are coming for a visit so I will have to entertain.

So Sasutan, still interested in splitting a ride? I don't know if you're still hanging around here. Would gladly share costs with anyone going down this weekend, otherwise I'll master the train.

Whoops, for some reason, I thought that all replies would go to my personal email - as none came - I figured that no one was keen!
Damn - I totally should have checked this out. Anyway, it was a great course - bloody long days though...
Anyway, own up - who is actually who - I'm Daniel....

I'll post some photos soon - Has anyone else posted photos?
