They werep planting rice around where I live before May arrived. Golden Week is usually the start around here. I suppose down in the Yuzawa/Muikabochi area it is around now.

Like that first one, took a bit to work out what was going on!  I bet places like that look good in mid-winter when there is loads of untouched snow around.
