It's that time of year once again. The football may still be going with Euro 2008, but the new Premier league season is just a few months away (hurrah!).

Tons of previous footie talk for the 07/08 season can be found here in "The FOOTBALL Thread (2007-2008):

Fairly easy start for Chelsea, 3rd game vs Spurs.

Forecasts:

CHELSEA to win.

Liverpool to declare it will be "their year", but that will crumble like a good apple crumble.

A lot of transfer window to go, so lets see what happens!

You back in the UK in August?

I might be around for the first home game vs Middlesborough.

Damn, Wigans first game is away so I won't be able to catch them.

I was hoping to see the team with Ronaldo (Wigan are going to "swoop" for him soon, you see)

OK we need to get all our predictions down and then at the end of the season we can have a 'virtual awards ceremony' for the people with the most accurate predictions.

My Predictions
--------------
1: Chelsea
2: Man Utd
3: Liverpool
4: Arsenal

Ronaldo goes to Real Madrid, Man Utd can't replace him.
Chelsea buy a big name like Deco, Terry makes good.
Liverpool end strong after a weak start.

Other than Chelsea taking the title, of course, perhaps a more realistic idea of where everyone stands will be mid-August when most of the transfer news is out. Right now a lot of ???. Stuff like Ronaldo moving on or not will be huge for teams.

Bye bye frogs!

Such a short tournament really isn't it. Quarter finals already.

Holland and Spain are looking good for the Euros.

Does anyone know if the tourney is already mapped out, ie do teams know what teams they could get in the next rounds, or is it drawn afresh for each new round?

Holland got to be hot contenders. And the winner from Germany vs Portugal will be up there too. Quite exciting actually.
