Some of these are very interesting. Japanese music in the 80's was very limited in style I think.

Wow grungy-gonads you really upped the ante with this song.
The Cure's "Plainsong" is one of the best tracks of all time - never heard it live, that's awesome.
Really wished they had played it live the one & only time I saw them (about a decade ago at Livid in Brisbane).
There wouldn't be many better songs in this thread than that one.
Here's another of my own favs from that kinda era - where This Mortal Coil makes Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren" thier own.
This version is the best I have heard - the studio version is so hard to beat, even by them live.
And though George Michael puts in a good effort to open some of his concerts with it, nothing beats this version:
