I agree too! I loved the region, just wished I couldve spent more time up there! Sooooo many onsen (konyoku too  ), excellent sake, very temperate and not much humidity!! 9 out of 10 stars.

Still planning mate. But it will rock. It will involve Narita and then heading north into Tohoku basically. Even looking forward to the travelling around to get to all these new places.

If Fukushima > Aomori is "Tohoku", what is the same kind of region just to the south called? (ie Niigata, Gunma, Saitama, etc). Is there a word for that chunk?
